Many present-day applications require a DC supply.
EREA have 3 product types in this range, which can be deployed in a broad range of applications.
- Transformer/rectifiers
These products provide an extremely robust voltage source. They can be distinguished from other DC supplies because of their ability to supply very high peak currents.
These power supplies are not stabilised, so the output voltage varies with the supply voltage and is also, in part, determined by the load current. Is stable voltage important for your application? Then you'll want to look at our stabilised power supply range.
- Stabilised supply
Our linear stabilised DC power supplies are transformer/rectifiers, with linear voltage stabilisation inserted downstream.
This gives them all the advantages of transformer/rectifiers, as well as a highly stable output voltage.
A sub-set of our stabilised power supplies have an additional function: as well as a DC source they can also be used to charge batteries.
- Switched stabilised power supplies
These power supplies are intended for DIN rail installation. They are distinguished from the two other types by their compact format and low weight.
