Transformers with specific features
Extra energy-efficient transformers (ECO transformers)
Many of our transformers are available in energy-efficient BTE versions. Thanks to their reduced energy costs these ECO transformers are not only ecologically sound, they are also exceptionally economical.
Low inrush current transformers
Transformers are increasingly found in smaller electrical installations (for example, for charging electric vehicles or in photovoltaic installations). Such installations often lack the current to deliver the brief burst of high inrush current required by the transformer.
EREA have developed a series of low inrush current transformers (the IRC series) to cope with this situation. Unlike standard transformers the primary safety device is not required to be overdimensioned, instead the supply to the primary side of the transformer can be protected at its nominal current with a standard type C circuit breaker.
